Description
At an elevation of 2,100 metres above sea level, Dullstroom is the highest town in South Africa. Also known as Emnothweni, and just two- and-a-half-hours’ drive from Johannesburg, this is the premier fly-fishing destination in the country. Introduced Rainbow Trout (from North America) and Brown Trout (from Europe) thrive in the crystal clear dams in and around the town, where mountain-biking, hiking and birdwatching are other popular weekend activities. Dullstroom is also known for its many cozy lodging options and fine eateries. In this design a Giant Kingfisher flashes past a keen fly-fisherman in pursuit of his quarry.
