Description
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa (and the highest in the world that is not part of a mountain chain); composed of three volcanic cores, the highest of which is ‘Kibo’ at 5,895 metres. This design depicts a Red-tufted Malachite Sunbird feeding on the nectar of a Giant Lobelia (Lobelia deckenii) as well as several Giant Groundsel (Dendrosenicio kilimanjari) plants in the heath-moorland zone that occurs between 3,000 and 4,000 metres.
