Description
East of Cape Town, the OVERBERG is a region of rolling hills framed by steep mountains. In this vibrant design, a pair of majestic Blue Cranes – South Africa’s national bird – march through the wheat and canola fields of the Overberg, an agricultural landscape to which this species has adapted so well. A Black Harrier can be seen quartering above a remnant patch of ‘renosterveld’ – one of the country’s most threatened habitat types, with the great wall of the Riviersonderend Mountains rising up behind.
