Spitzkoppe – Namibia

The Spitzkoppe are a cluster of huge granite boulder outcrops that rise dramatically out of the flat, semi-desert landscape of Damaraland in Namibia. In the late afternoon light, the granite turns a rich rusty orange and the whole scene is blindingly beautiful. For travellers, a number of picturesque and private campsites are situated at the base of rocks. Depicted in this design is the highest peak (1,728 metres), a lone Steenbok and a pair of the Rosy-faced Lovebirds that breed in rock fissures of the outcrops. This is the third Namibian design in the African Journey Collection of poster-prints.
